About the winery:
Domaine Lafouge is a family estate established in Auxey-Duresses since 1650. For them, working the vines with respect for the terroir is essential, as is a style of wine combining finesse and elegance. The harvest has always been manual.

Tasting notes: Its purple color offers a pretty floral nose of lilac, black fruit coulis, and pepper. On the palate, this wine has a good balance, quite winey with pretty ripe tannins which will melt quickly. Frank, fruity, and gourmet finish.
About the winery: You'll find the Domaine de l'Hortus in a valley at the heart of the wild garrigue some 30 km to the north of Montpellier. The Pic Saint Loup legend was born here. It is in the years 1970 that Jean Orliac acquires 4-hectares of vines. Today, the Domaine is run by his four children and covers a little over 60 hectares in a unique and remarkable environment.
